How do I get a commission started?To commission a project with Inky & Bookish, simply reach out via email with as much detail as possible. Alternatively, you can use the 'Contact Us' tab to submit your information. If you happen to forget any details, don't worry—I will provide a list of questions and requests to help ensure I bring your vision to life.

How long does it take to complete a commission?Each commission time frame will be based on the number of illustrations requested. The details, including the scope of work and associated costs, will be clearly outlined in the contract, which will be discussed and agreed upon by both the artist and the client.

Can I request revisions to my commission?All illustrations will be developed in three distinct stages. Each stage allows for a specific number of revisions. Additional changes beyond the allotted revisions may incur additional costs, which can be discussed directly with the artist.

How will my finalized commissions be sent?All completed commissions will be delivered via email in the format, size, resolution, and file type as specified in the agreement between the artist and the client.

A minimum deposit of 50% is required upfront to secure your place in the commission queue. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the final product(s).

Can I cancel my commission?In the event of a cancellation on the authors part any deposits received are non-refundable.

PRODUCT:
You will be receiving a digital high resolution in the file format of your choosing. There is a physical product at this time unless discussed previously with the artist.

COMMUNICATIONS:
Email communication is preferable. However conversations can always be started in direct messages on social media platforms.
TIMELINES:
Depending on the size of the piece any illustration can take from 1-3 weeks time once deposit is received. Please make note if you have a strict timeline you are adhering to.
PAYMENTS:
PayPal is preferable, but we do also use Venmo, Cashapp or Zelle if need be.

Emergency Clause:
In the event of extreme unforeseen events such as hospitalization, grieving, natural disasters or equipment malfunction that stop work I will reach out directly with options that may include a refund minus the time spent on the piece up to that date at the artist’s discretion.
STAGES:
All work is completed in at least three stages.
One: After deposit is received a rough/basic sketch will be sent via email for reviewal. This is where any major changes will take place such as pose changes, expressions, clothing, composition, etc.
Two: This is where finer details will be implemented and color blocking will begin. Communication during this time is key, so you may expect several emails during this stage to ensure we are on the right track. Please note that after this stage no major changes can be made without a fee.
Three: This includes the final render and you most likely won’t receive any more work in progress (wip) images until I’m finished. I will send the final over for your review.
Please note: all images will be heavily watermarked until final payment is received. If final payment is not received the artist holds the right to not send images, revokes the right for you to sell, distribute, or publish in any way including any social media platform. Please credit the artist in any reveals by using their social media handle.
RIGHTS:
I hold the copyright for each illustration.You will need to obtain a commercial license to make a profit from this artwork. I have the right to use the artwork on social media, website, and portfolio. I have the right to record the drawing process as I see fit and publish it to social media. I hold the right to deny a commission. I do NOT claim any right to the intellectual property of the artwork.
USE:
Absolutely no altering, editing, cropping, or color changes may be made to a final piece. Absolutely no cropping of the artists signature. Using any artwork to train any generative AI is forbidden. Claiming the artwork as your own is forbidden. Turning artwork into an NFT is forbidden.You have the right to post whenever and however you see fit.
Please credit the artist. If you’d like commercial rights to be able to sell, distribute, publish, print with intent to distribute, or profit from this work please reach out directly.
COMMERCIAL RIGHTS PRICING:
Commercial rights pricing can be scary, but please do not let that deter you. Pricing starts as low as an extra $50.00 USD.
IMPORTANT:
I will not draw anything that contains racist or homophobic rhetoric or anything that may have racist or homophobic expressions, hidden messages, or connotations.
I will not draw anything that I deem harmful to any group of people including but not limited to:
Women
BIPOC
LGBTQIA+
Children
Religious groups
I am happy to create illustrations with or work with authors of any race, sexuality, genre, relationship or religion. NSFW, MONSTER, AND GORE WELCOME!
